Mvuvi

“Mvuvi” in Kiswahili means “A fisherman”. It is not uncommon, on the beaches of Kenya, to come across a fisherman armed with some simple artisan tool to catch some octopus or some fish among the rocks of the coral reef. But he is not just anyone, he is a friend, whose history I know.

A difficult life between sun and saltwater that burns his skin more and more black and his hair that becomes blonder and blonder. Just a few fish to sell for three small children who are waiting for him without a mother but with a strong, caring, and loving father.
