Nusu ingine

“Nusu ingine” in Kiswahili means “The other half”, which is why I chose only half a lion’s head. We always see half of what there is to see. When in the savannah, you can be in front of a real lion, and you can look him in the eye, getting excited. You suddenly realize that you never see half of his life of difficulty and survival, made up of wounds, parasites, and many imperfections.

Our superficiality of seeing only his obvious majesty does not make us observe how so many pains can make him ugly or make him suffer. Too often, the world is made up of superficial appearances, and we don’t care to see further.
